Dear Pamela,
It was such a pleasure to meet you at the SCBWI conference. I am sorry I did not get to see you today before you left. The day was over before I knew it. But wasn't Ashley Bryan AMAZING?!! I just read your memoir entry above and loved it. Please consider writing a children's story out of your memories of Cape May. The characters, their relationships, the setting, and all the sensory details you describe here would be so powerful in a picture book telling of your story from your child point of view.
Keep writing and taking care of that beautiful boy in your life. And please consider attending some of the other regional SCBWI events in the SoCal area.
I hope we meet again soon!
Warmly, catherine brown

Pam
I enjoyed your story. Reminds me of Seaside Heights where we used to go.
My sister has a home in Cape May for the summer. Did you know you now need a pass to get on those beautiful beaches?
We were lucky they were free.
Thanks for sharing your memories.

Pam,
Wow! Although I've heard bits and pieces of the Cape May story since our wonderful days at Bennett College, I've never heard it so artfully told. I can feel, hear, taste and touch every image. The fish and grits are great and I can hear Rev. Wimberly singing the mosquito song.

Pam, we must both do what we've been called to do.
